The library offers resources to our patrons to help you get the best information for all your needs. Whether it is researching Carnival or the creation of Dark Matter, we have the tools to help you fulfill your research.

E-Resources

The library encourages all our patrons to sign up with NALIS and get your library card. With that card you can access the National Library’s electronic resources like EBSCOhost from you school library. Just select the EBSCOhost link or the NALIS link on our website, or log on to NALIS via http://www.nalis.gov.tt with you valid library card and password and you have the library databases at your fingertips!

Newspapers

The library knows how important it is to keep up to date with the news. The Express, Guardian and Newsday newspapers are bought every week day and are available for reading for the whole week.

Print Resources

We have an exciting array of MAGAZINES for your enjoyment and education. You can see the latest trends in our popular magazines line Seventeen, Ebony and Elle. People, Economist and Time will give you all the information you need to know what is going on all over the world. Self and Fitness magazines have everything you need to know to keep healthy and fit.

At our library we try to offer the best in BOOKS – for work and for fun. The collection is arranged into different sections so you know what is what, and what is where.

TEACHERS’ RESOURCES help teachers prepare the course work and assignments.

INFORMATION FILES are collections of newspaper clippings arranged by subject and kept in files. Great for social studies, environmental studies and other subjects, these files are updated every month with new content from the Express, Guardian and Newsday newspapers.

Multimedia

Kindle your fire for reading with the library’s Kindle Fire HD. Available for in library use only, it has a great selection of books and comics for sitting in the reading corner and enjoying.

Our multimedia collection also includes an exciting array of CDs and DVDs on Engineering, Science, History and General Information for your education and enjoyment.

 

Books

The REFERENCE books are the encyclopedias, dictionaries and other things that are used all the time. They cannot be borrowed, but are used in the library only.
